Laura and Dale

LAURA HINERFELD and DALE HENRY GEIST have been putting on shows at their Rockin' Heart Ranchito since the day it was born, September 1, 2005. They were wed the morning of Dog Days Fest '07, and recently begat Amos Henry Geist.

Laura

• Grew up in the Philly burbs
• Dropped out of a preppy college, graduated from a hippy college

• Rode her bike around Lake Tahoe
• Lived in a little cabin in the Vermont woods with no plumbing. Outhouse had view.
• Former pastry chef at fancy-schmancy restaurant - Jan Birnbaum's Catahoula
• RN at Sutter Medical Center in Santa Rosa

Dale

• Grew up in various parts of upstate New York
• Dropped out of a preppy college, graduated from a hippy college
• Big chunk of heart remains in Colorado
• Spontaneous poetry once lavishly praised by Allen Ginsberg
• Highlight of life: gofer on Tom Waits concert film
• Midshipman in Navy ROTC in college (the preppy one)
• Lived on a boat out on the Delta
• 3rd Place, Central New York Region, National Spelling Bee, 1973
• Four wheels, 21 states, 1985
• Former San Francisco bike messenger
• Former video game producer for LucasArts
• Started writing songs at 13.
• Authored one of the first music/multimedia CDs ("I Talk to Planets", Monster Magnet, A&M Records, 1995)
