The Ranchito is our little slice of rented paradise here in Whine Country, California. Comprised of about five acres near bustling downtown Kenwood, the Ranchito has been home to our menagerie and musical endeavors since September 2005.
(On a digression, "Rockin' Heart Ranchito" is actually a portable name, the Kenwood one being Ranchito El Segundo. Ranchito El Primera was in Penngrove.)
We've got a back yard that will hold a stage, a bunch of people and dogs, and a keg or two; a living room big enough for a pretty serious house concert; and plenty of off-street parking.
The ol' Ranchito has witnessed some fine music in the form of house concerts and the annual Dog Days Fest, from its baptism by Bill Staines through Johnny Harper, Mayne Smith, Kathy Kallick, Michael McNevin, Solid Air, JL Stiles and the Ranchito's own Dale Henry Geist.
Rockin' Heart Ranchito currently houses three dogs, three goats, three borrowed horses, three humans, a fish, and assorted wildlife.
