Be part of putting on the show and get: a great feeling of satisfaction; new friends; our sincere gratitude; tasty food and beverages. We'll need help during the Fest, the day before/morning of, and the day after.
Take a look at what we need, and let us know what you can do.
Figure a couple-three hours - more if you like it.
Generally make sure things are safe and sound. We may have face painting, water balloons, hula hoops, a kiddie pool, crafts and musical activities - bring your ideas and supplies. The teens ran the show in 2008 & had a tip jar which looked pretty full by the end of the day.
Maintain a semblance of order while maximizing use of the Ranchito's parking spaces. Give directions, general information, and say "back, back, back--that's good!".
Rove around keeping things running smoothly. Tidy. Make sure water containers are full & the porta-potty has enough enough TP. Maybe help musicians get their gear on and off the stage.
Kitchen inside: being in our kitchen and keeping festival goers (and flies) out of our kitchen. You can offer to wash potluck dishes, heat up food, find serving utensils, etc. This is a good job for someone who would like to see and hear the music while staying cool.
Kitchen outside: hanging out near the grills and food tables, operating the grills, generally keeping the chaos to a minimum.
Laura will have a 4-week-old infant and 2-year-old Amos. Help!
Operate the mixer. Very cool.
Take pics and send them to us!
Record the show for posterity.
Show up between 2pm and 6pm the day before, or between 10am and noon the day of, and we'll either send you out on an errand or ask you to help shape up the Ranchito. Friday night we'll serve pizza and beer, and do some pickin' after the work is done. Camp out!
Most important job.
Stuff for the kids' area, kitchen, odds 'n' ends.
We have some supplies, but feel free to bring your own.
Make sure the Ranchito is presentable, the tables and chairs, cooler, grill, etc. are in their rightful place, and generally make the place ready for a Fest.
Morning of, for coolers and keg.
Hammer and nails type work. Also duct tape and bubblegum.

If you help us clean up the day after, you will earn a very special place in our hearts. And killer blueberry pancakes.
